As a general rule, your accreditation must feature a admission score for the Spanish university. Depending on your area of interest, you may have to take Specific Competency Tests (PCE) and/or request the recognition of subjects in your upper secondary studies. In some cases, you may also be required to produce accreditation of language proficiency.
Whatever the case, it is always a good idea to check with the universities of your choice to know what is expected of you.

To accredit a Bachillerato Modality, it is necessary to pass the subjects set for each of the existing modalities in Spain: Plastic Arts, Image and Design; Science and Technology; General, Humanities and Social Sciences.
Find out more The Bachillerato Modality will be obtained according to the subjects taken in the student's education system of origin. To be awarded the modality, students must have passed a minimum of three subjects in their education system that are equivalent to a common subject, a compulsory subject and an optional subject of the chosen modality, according to the following criteria: a) One subject from the block of common subjects, taken in the last year of their secondary school studies. b) One subject from the block of modality-specific subjects, taken in the last year of their secondary studies, depending on the pathway selected. c) One of the following subjects, according to the selected pathway:

The recognition of a subject may have the same value as taking a Specific Competency Test (PCE) for said subject, so long as this abides by admission criteria at your future university. You can only seek the recognition of subjects taken during the last two years of secondary education and the last two years before the application. This service is limited to upper secondary studies that are included in the Annex I to the Regulation. Language test results and certificates that are and/or recognised by the Spanish Language Centres in Higher Education (ACLES) can be include on the accreditation UNEDasiss. Find out more UNEDasiss gives international students the opportunity to obtain evidence of their language proficiency in UNEDasiss accreditation, which they can use when applying to university. Evidence of language proficiency may be necessary when specific language skills are part of requirements to be enrolled at a university or in specific degree programmes. Therefore, the UNEDasiss accreditation may provide information relating to language proficiency in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Such information is limited to language test results and certificates issued and/or recognised by the Spanish Association of Language Centres in Higher Education (ACLES). If you are interested in taking a language proficiency test at UNED you can check the range of options available at the Centre for Distance Language Learning (CUID). We at UNEDasiss do not conduct language proficiency tests; our role is to make sure that our accreditations contain prospective students’ language proficiency scores/levels.
